Chic Bunny

Here's a fun card I made for my parents. I used the Gypsy to weld the Doodlecharms egg image to make the card, and the bunny is from Celebrate With Flourish. I made the hat using the Forever Young cart and the Le Chic stamp is from Close to My Heart. Enjoy! :) Maria

Le chic

I made my Easter cards on Saturday at the last minute and the ones I need to mail are waiting in my car right now! Better late than never, right? I used my Gypsy to weld the egg card together with an image from Doodlecharms. I made the chicks with the Celebrate With Flourish cart, I really like that one. I cut the hat from Forever Young and the stamp I used is from Close to My Heart. I think these chicks are very chic! Enjoy. :) Maria

Showered with love

I love weddings and bridal showers! I have a cousin who is getting married at the end of this month and her bridal shower is this weekend. It's wonderful to have happy occasions to inspire my card making! I used the Celebrate with Flourish cart for the umbrella and cut off the flourish. I used the Stretch Your Imagination cart for the hearts and a Susan Branch celebration stamp. Hope she likes it! Crafty Creations #113- Rain Showers , Fantabulous Cricut #54- April Showers

Birthday guy

Tomorrow is my husband's birthday. I waited til the last minute to make his card. I could not think of what to do for him. It's always hard to make a nice card for a guy. He helped me out last night by mentioning that he wants to go golfing with his brothers and our son on Sunday to celebrate. I thought of this golf club image right away! I used the Celebrate With Flourish cart for the golf clubs and I stamped the happy birthday. I used gold stickles and some fun buttons to accentuate the sentiment. :) Maria

Ice Skate

Wow, it's been a while since I've had a chance to post or even craft at all. Last month we had a flood when our water heater exploded and all of my time has been centered around house stuff in addition to our normal crazy school and after school schedule. We still have a long way to go to get our house back to normal, but next week is spring break for school and I hope to use some of my home time to craft as well as do Turbo Tax! Juliette is going to an ice skating birthday party this weekend and I wanted to make a card for her friend. I used the Christmas Cricut cart for the ice skate. Juliette came up with the brilliant idea of adding the tiny gems to the shoe, it really made the image pop out. Enjoy! Maria and Juliette

Lucky 8 Valentine

It is never easy to come up with ideas for a card for a teenage boy, but the Indie Art Cricut cart has some great images that my son likes. He told me recently he liked the 8 ball image so that's what I used for his Valentine. I cut the heart with Doodlecharms. :) Mara

Valentine Dress

Here's a fun card I made for Juliette for Valentine's Day. She got to dance in a ballet production this weekend and after the last show we all went out for dinner. The dress she wore was very similar to the one on the card. She also has cute, black heels. :) Maria

Love

I love all the fun options for Valentine cards. This is one I made for my hubby. I used the Forever Young Cricut cart for the cuts and Doodlecharms for the hearts. He loved it! :) Maria

Hello love

I love Hello Kitty! She is so cute! It's a cool, rainy day, a good one for staying inside to work on my Valentines. I used the Hello Kitty Greetings cart for the main image and Doodlecharms for the little hearts. Enjoy! :) Maria

Cupid

This card started out as a good luck card for Juliette who is playing a cupid in a ballet production over Valentine's weekend. She didn't think it looked much like the costume (and I agreed!), so it turned into a pretty Valentine card. I used the Celebrate With Flourish cart and lots of embellishments, flowers, stickles, ribbon, pearls, a doily and a button. Enjoy. :) Maria

Broadway!

Monday night we came home from school and Juliette informed me it was her BFFs birthday that day! She had forgotten and wanted to make a card for her to take to school the next day. Her friend loves to sing and act and it's her dream to be on Broadway some day. She wanted to do a Broadway theme but had lots of homework so I made this card for her to give to her friend. I used the Slumber Party Cricut cart for the microphone and then Gypsy Font for the writing. I had to do some welding with the Gypsy and that's always a struggle, but after many tries, I finally did it! I used diamond stickles on the microphone and a star gem for the dot on the "i". :) maria

Butterflies

I made this set of cards as a gift for my Grandmother. She likes butterflies and the color purple so I thought these would be perfect for her! I used Once Upon a Princess for the butterfly image and a Martha Stewart punch for the borders. :) Maria

Valentine treats

Today has been the best day! I've had the entire day to craft! Juliette helped me make some valentine treat bags for her ballet friends. They are all dancing in a show Valentine's weekend and I know there will be no time to craft close to the time so thankfully we got it all done today! Juliette stamped and embossed and did some of the folding. I did all the cutting and the rest of the folding and assembly. We needed 11 but made 14 just in case we need extras. They are all different, some are stamped and embossed with ballet shoes, Happy Valentine's Day, or hearts. Others have cut out hearts (Doodlecharms) and a flower punch. I cut the heart purse using the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut cartridge. :) Maria and Juliette

blue bird

I made this fun little card for my mom. I love the soft blues and whites. The inside says Thinking of You. Once I finished it looked sort of like a wedding card, maybe if there were two birds! In any case, my mom is still getting it. :) Maria

Relax, enjoy

I am attending a retirement party today for an aunt who has recently retired after working for many years at a bank. She loves to play the guitar and sing in her spare time so I thought this image was perfect for her! I used the guitar from Slumber Party, the relax and enjoy from Life's a Beach and the music notes from Gypsy Wanderings. :) Maria

Manicure

A week or so ago my awesome aunt, who manages a spa and salon, treated J and me to a manicure! We wanted to thank her right away so I made this card to send to let her know how much we appreciated her kindness! It was so nice to be spoiled at the salon! :) Maria

Happy New Year, Happy Birthday!

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted! I have been soooo busy, J was in the Nutcracker so the month of December was super crazy!!! Now, both kids are back in school and I finally have a minute to post. I actually got a chance to craft a little bit but mostly Xmas stuff. My brother had a special birthday the other day, 1/11/11, and I'm a bit late mailing his card but I hope he likes it when it arrives! Maria

Spanish Dancer

This is a good luck card I made for J before a Winter ballet show she did this past weekend. It's good luck to tell ballet dancers "merde" before a performance. The dress is very similar to the one she wore! It was a great show and she loved the card. I used the gypsy to weld the letters together and the Shall We Dance Cricut cart for the dancer. :) Maria

Birthday dragon

I have been sooo super busy that there has been no time for crafting! My son went to a birthday party on Saturday for a friend who is a 13 year old boy and I made this card for him. He liked it and thought it was super cool! I used the Indie Art Cricut cartridge for the dragon which I got recently from the free Gypsy cart download. I also used the Happy Birthday from Gypsy Wanderings. I love Indie Art, there are lots of cool images that I think work great for teen boys. Enjoy! :) Maria
