Birthday Squirrel

This is a birthday card for my SIL who loves squirrels. I wanted to do something a little different and chic so I added the hat to the squirrel image! I thought the colors worked out great for the many fall themed contests going on right now. :) Maria

Ole!

Wow, what a week! I've been sick since last Sat. night the 11th and have not felt up to crafting at all! I'm actually still not 100% and have made a dr. appointment tomorrow to see if I have a sinus infection. :( Not fun, but I am at least up and out of bed and doing a little crafting again. I made this book mark as a gift for my daughter, Juliette, who does ballet. Her ballet school does a Nutcracker performance and this year J and a few of her friends were chosen to do the Spanish Dance. This image from Forever Young reminded me of a Flamenco dancer so I thought it would be perfect. :) Maria

Sweet Baby Boy

I have had more crafting time this week than I anticipated because Juliette has been home sick. :( So, it's been a week of crafting, Arrested Development, Buffy, chicken soup and echinacea tea. I used the gypsy for this project, I'm starting to get the hang of it! :) Maria

Inspired

This is a card I made for my brother who is a teacher. I think he is a great teacher and know he inspires many of his students. He teaches for a university and I think teachers at all levels should get an apple once in a while! I thought this would be a nice way for him to start the new semester. My husband liked that I made a masculine looking card for once! :) Maria

Quinceanera

My husband's cousin is celebrating her 15th birthday this weekend with a quinceanera. We were invited but the party is out of the state and we are unable to attend. He asked if I could make a card to send her and of course I was happy to oblige! I used the Forever Young cart to create the girl and the flowers and Once Upon a Princess for the 15. I hope she likes it! :) Maria

Contests:
Sisterhood of Crafters- 1 ribbon, 2 papers, 3 flowers
CDYA #3-Girly and glittery
For Fun Challenges-Black and white + 1

Christmas tags

Every holiday season I make hot fudge sauce to give as gifts to special people, and I thought it would be fun to create some gift tags to go along with the jars. The tags that say happy holidays will go on presents and I left some blank space so I have room to write names. I used the Cricut to cut the tag shapes and used the Stretch Your Imagination cart. The paper is a Bazzill assortment and I used stamps for both sentiments. I embossed the happy holidays and used stickles to jazz up the oven mitt. :) Maria

30 and fabulous!

My cousin just turned 30 and I wanted to send her a special card to mark the occasion. She is a pilot in the US Air Force so I thought this HK pilot image would be perfect! This card was one of my first attempts at using the Gypsy. It took me over an hour of trial and error and 3 You Tube tutorials to figure out how to weld the letters a n d together to make and! It was worth it though and now I'm somewhat confident that I can do it again! I used Gypsy font for the and, Forever Young for the fabulous, Once Upon a Princess for the 30, and Hello Kitty Greetings for the pilot and plane. :) Maria
