Flamingo Fun

Here's a fun card I made for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday contest called At the Zoo. The bamboo took a while to do because the leaves were hard to glue on. I used the Life's a Beach cartridge and the Hello Kitty Salutations cart for the sun. I cut out my own water for the ocean and I used Stickles for the ocean, the flamingo and the sun. I hope you enjoy! :) - Juliette

Congratulations

Wow, this card took me 3 hours!!! It's a good thing I'm making myself do work before I start stamping. I went for a swim, cleaned the kitchen and did some laundry. Luckily I went for that swim early because there's a thunderstorm here now. On to the card. A cousin is getting married in a couple weeks and these were the colors on the invite. The wedding cake stamp was from Michael's and the Congrats was from Susan Branch Celebrations. I used lots of different papers, vellum and even a few flower and pearl embellishments. I cut the hearts with the Doodlecharms cart. It took a long time to make but I am happy with the results. I hate to give this one away! I'm going to enter it in a few contests.

School Spirit

Here's a card I made for a contest over at Paper Sundae called Back to School. This contest is pretty timely because school starts pretty soon over here and I wanted to make something to make the transition kind of fun. This card is for J, my son will get a more masculine looking one which I haven't had the inspiration for yet. I chose the school colors; blue, silver and green. I tried to replicate the school uniform on HK; blue polo, green and blue skirt. I used the Hello Kitty Greetings cart for the image and the words. Summer has flown by, I will miss having my kids home but it will be nice to be busy again too. :) Maria

Pink and Black

This card is for a challenge over at Fussy and Fancy Fridays. The challenge was to make a card that is pink and black. Here's my take. I got this clear stamp set from Michael's today in the $1 bin. I love it! J and I got some great deals at craft stores today. We hit Jo Ann's, Hobby Lobby and Michael's and had a blast shopping. Each store had different sales. We couldn't wait to get home and start crafting but we had to clean house first. I find it impossible to find inspiration without a clean room to start! :) Maria

crazy kitty

The Sisterhood of Crafters is having a fun challenge called Funnies! The challenge was to make a card, page or 3D project that is humourous or funny. I love this cat stamp. The stamp alone makes me laugh! The cat, paw print, fish and mice are from a stamp set called Cats from All Night Media. The sentiment is from Susan Branch Girlfriends. I didn't ink the pie that's usually in the middle of the words and put the fish inside instead. Hope it makes you laugh. :) Maria

Hope you're hopping!

This is my card for the Cricut Cardz Challenge #35 . I used the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. The contest was to make a Get Well card using the colors green, blue, black and white. Hope you like my card! :) - Juliette

A letter is forever

Here's a fun card for two challenges. First, CCCB has a contest called Garden Mail. There was a pretty inspiration photo and the project had to involve mail. The second challenge is from the Clean and Simple blog. Here's my take on the two. I used an envelope image from the Doodlecharms cart and used a stamp from Susan Branch Girlfriends.

Ice Cream Cone

Here's a fun birthday card for another challenge. Bitten by the Bug 2 had a fun one called the Stretch Your Imagination Ice Cream Cone cut challenge. There are yummy looking ice cream cones on the cover of the June/July issue of my Taste of Home magazine. It was the inspiration for this card. Enjoy!

Friends Forever

This is a fun card that I made for a contest over at Picture Perfect Creations. The challenge was to make something using the colors whisper white, basic gray and daffodil delight. I love these color challenges because they force me to put together combinations I wouldn't have chosen otherwise. :) maria

Sparkle Fairy

This is a card I made for the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge. The challenge was to use stitches, scallops, and sparkle. I really like the fairy stamp that I used and I drew the stitches on. I hope you enjoy it! :) -Juliette

Ooh la la

Here is a fun card that I made for the Shabby Tea Room's One, Two, Three Challenge. One ribbon, two buttons and 3 punches or dies. I chose a stamp from Stampin Up and the dies were from the Hello Kitty cart. This card was a challenge and J definitely helped with the inspiration. :) maria

Hello cupcake

We were invited to a friends house yesterday for a bbq and I asked what I should bring. When my friend said bring what you like I decided to make cupcakes. J and I went to Michael's the other day and J found these adorable cupcake holders. I've been thinking about making cupcakes ever since! The hello cupcake stamp was another fun item J found in the $1 bin at Michael's. I thought it would go perfectly with a Hello Kitty card. J helped make the white cupcakes with almond flavored frosting. The cupcakes were a hit at the bbq!

OTWC Challenge #16

This challenge was for the Off the Wall Craftiness blog. The challenge was to make a card using the colors pale pink, grey, white or cream. The picture below was for inspiration. I thought a ballet card would be fun with these colors. The dress stamp was Inkadinkado and the ballet shoe stamp was All Night Media, both from Michael's. The "ooh la la" stamp was from Stampin' Up.

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 32-Summer Destinations

The challenge was to make a card or layout with a favorite summer vacation destination using buttons, brads or bling. I would love to go to Paris, haven't been yet, but it's nice to dream! I chose the scrapbook layout. For the bling I used flower gems at the corners of the photos and stickles on the shopping bags and purse. I also used a pink gem on the bag and silver embossing powder on the Eiffel Tower. The word Paris was made with silver stickers. The paper and ribbon were from Michaels. The girl and the bonjour stamp were from Great Impressions and the Eiffel Tower stamp is from Stampin Up.

Throwback Thursday Challenge #7

This challenge was from Emma at My Creative Time who asked for a card with your favorite holiday. Since it's super hot and I wish it was snowing, I chose Christmas! We were supposed to use the Wild Cart but since I don't have that one I chose Stretch Your Imagination. It's hard to see in the pic but the snowman and snowflakes are all popped out. Each snowflake has a tiny gem and the scarf is covered with baby blue stickles. The paper and the ribbon were from Michaels. This was a lot of fun to create! :) Maria
