Mommy to be

I found the cutest clear stamps in the $1 bin at Michael's a few weeks ago and I've been anxious to try them out. They worked wonderfully! This card was so much fun to put together, we watched Romy and Michele's High School Reunion while crafting yesterday. Enjoy! :) Maria

You Rock!

I'm very glad that in the midst of all the business from school I got to craft this weekend. I used the Once Upon a Princess cartridge for this card. The heart metal brad and the gem embellishments are from Michael's and I also used some Stickles. I hope to get one more project done and now I'm watching gymnastics! Hope you like it! :) Juliette

Merci

Wow, I made 3 cards today! They were so much fun. I know I won't have time again til Saturday so it was nice to have a chance to craft today. I should be working on a guy birthday card for my husband's co-worker, but I love to make the girlie cards and so I did! I will put together a simple card for him next. Juliette has so much homework this week, hopefully she will have some time for crafting this weekend. I miss my stamping buddy! :) Maria

Le Chic

I started work today on a Xmas gift for my grandmother; a set of cards that she can send to family for special occasions. She's great about mailing a card for every birthday and anniversary. She loves high heeled shoes and I hope she enjoys these. I love to look at them but never could wear heels this high! :) Maria

Party Dress

With school back in session I have to drive a ton and it's been tough for me to find a moment to sit down and create anything. I've been thinking about this dress for a few days and finally decided that today I'm going to craft first, the dishes will have to wait! I love the feminine look of all the cuts on the Forever Young cart. Too bad yellow isn't my color, otherwise I would love to have this dress! :) Maria

Smile!

I couldn't wait to make a card with this fun rainbow cut and I thought this would be perfect for a young niece who has a birthday in August. It reminds me of Rainbow Brite! I used the Once Upon a Princess cart for the image and the smile.

Bravo!

Today my son started HS and Juliette started 6th grade! I am sad, the house is quiet, but at the same time the solitude is kind of nice too! I started out today thinking I was going to make an anniversary card and then got a call from my BF who had some amazing news. She writes fiction/romance and one of her books was picked up by a publisher. Woo hoo! I'm so proud of her and really honored that she let me read her early drafts. Needless to say, this card turned into a BRAVO for my BF which I will try and get it sent out tomorrow, after the glue on the flower dries! Now I'm off to pick up kids from school. :) Maria

Mini Album

It's Sunday and a day that I usually take off from crafting. This morning I woke up with a sore throat and an achy body, not good! My DH is taking the kids to church and I am home and decided I might as well be productive if I'm just going to be sitting around. This is the first mini album I've tried. I think this is another project that would be great for a party craft. It was pretty easy. I used the Hello Kitty Greetings cart and a variety of card stock, papers and ribbon. The pic below is a sample of the pages inside the mini album. :) Maria

Tea Party

Still crafting away a Saturday afternoon! We got 1/2 way through HP 4 and I had to make a quick trip to the library. I picked up a few seasons of Jeeves and Wooster and since I got home we've been laughing at the antics of Bertie and his friends. I wish I had my own Jeeves! Anyway, watching British movies and tv shows makes me think of tea which was the inspiration for this card. I used the Once Upon a Princess cart and paper, ribbon and flowers from my stash. :) Maria

Flourishes Kids Play Challenge- I loved playing "tea" as a young girl. Still love it!

Busy Saturday

This is our last free Saturday before school starts and we are getting lots done. We spent the morning cleaning house and when that was done, we sat down and turned on the Cricut. The kids and I are watching all the Harry Potter movies and I just made some chocolate/peanut butter chip cookies. This is my first 3-D project! This purse is from the Forever Young cartridge. I think this would be a fun craft to do for Juliette's next birthday party or sometime when she has a friend over. Back to the Prisoner of Azkaban! :) Maria

The Shabby Tea Room 'House and Home'

This is my card for the Shabby Tea Room's week #21 challenge, 'House and Home'. I used Stretch Your Imagination for the bird houses and the bird. I used the bird from the water bucket and cut the bird off the top. The stamp is from Susan Branch Girlfriends. I also used vellum and other embellishments. I hope you enjoy this card! :) Juliette

Winter House

Here's a card I made for a challenge over at the Shabby Tea Room. The contest is called House and Home and the rules were to create a card or project using soft blues, creams, whites and browns and a house image. I used the Stretch Your Imagination cart for the gingerbread house, tree and snowflakes. The stamp was from Susan Branch Celebrations.
