Holiday shopping

I think this may be the first stamp I ever bought! I love this chic shopper. I have used her image in my Xmas cards before and think she makes a great holiday card. I love the color combo over at PPC again this week. Always such pretty colors and combinations I wouldn't think to put together on my own! :) Maria

A little bit of metal

Here's a card I made for the Shabby Tea Room contest #24. Hope you like it! :) Juliette

Hello Halloween

I love all the possibilities that come with the Hello Kitty cart. I haven't used this cut before and decided to use the card option. It was fairly simple and fun, I cut everything out at size 5 which makes it easier for the tiny pieces. I used plain colored card stock and paper and then stickles for the cape and whiskers. Enjoy! :) Maria

Fun flamingo

This is a fun card that I gave to my Dad on Father's Day. All of the cuts are from Life's A Beach. I had a lot of fun making mking this card and I hope you like it. I also used pineapple paper for the pineapple but the pineapple drink was from Life's a beach and the legs of the flamingo are supposed to be the "A" in Dad. I really hope you like it!!!! :) Juliette

Chic Christmas

I worked on this project all week, mostly while sitting in the ballet school lobby waiting for J. That's the great thing about cross stitch, you can take it with you and work on it while chatting with friends. I put the rest of the card together at home last night and this morning. I picked up this adorable Martha Stewart scroll lace punch at Michael's yesterday and thought it added just the right accompaniment to the card. Last year I made some cross stitch ornaments to give as Xmas gifts and I thought I would do it again. I love receiving homemade gifts and love to give them as well. I used a Susan Branch stamp for the sentiment and cut the card using the Forever Young cart and tracing an old cross stitch ornament card. The heart brad is from Michael's and the cross stitch pattern is from a Leisure Arts leaflet called Love One Another. :) Maria

Bonjour

I loved the color combo over at PPC this week. This is another card that will go into my Grandma's Xmas gift pack. She mentioned a pair of blue, high heeled shoes she has and these heels made me think of her. I used the Forever Young cartridge for all the cuts. I also used pearls, ribbon and stickles to embellish. PPC is also looking for guest designers. Click here if you would like to play along. :) Maria

Contest:

Hello birthday

I haven't made any Hello Kitty cards for a few weeks and started to miss her so I had to get my favorite cartridge out again. I love the balloon image but wasn't thrilled with the original cut because it blocked the sentiment. I cut the balloons and used embroidery floss as the balloon strings instead. I used a Susan Branch stamp for the Happy Birthday and cake and the paper and ribbon were from my stash. :) Maria

Fancy Flamingos

I worked on this card for most of the day yesterday. It was fun but I wish I was a little faster! Also, my Cricut is tempermental and doesn't like all cardstock equally. The flowers and leaves took the most time because the paper would rip. Oh well, it's still fun to create!!! I used the Life's a Beach cart for the flamingos and a few of the flowers and leaves. I used Forever Young for the remaining flowers and Once Upon a Princess for the Girlfriends sentiment. :) Maria

Elegant dress

I used a stamp for the dress and cut vellum to cover it. The model is from the Forever Young cartridge. I also used Susan Branch paper and vellum, solid pink and silver cardstock, pearls, a flower and cut out a doily for the background. Hope you like it! :) Juliette

Challenge- The Shabby Tea Room #23 The Delicate Cottage Rose

Girly fun

I had way too much fun with this challenge at the Shabby Tea Room. My husband noted that all of my cards lately are very girly and asked if I will make guy cards any time soon? Maybe for my next project! :) Maria

Time for Tea

It's been a super busy week and I haven't had as much time to craft as I would like. Yesterday was the first chance I had to sit and both J and I made a couple of fun cards. This is a card I made for a few challenges. I used the Once Upon a Princess cart for the tea cup and butterfly. Some of the papers and the sentiment are Susan Branch and some are random from my stash. :) Maria

Ballet bookmark

With school back in full swing I thought Juliette could use a bookmark for the books she reads in literature class. With the start of the academic school year also brings the start of the ballet school year so I thought this would be a fun combination of the two. I used the Once Upon a Princess cart, pink and yellow cardstock, Susan Branch paper and pink ribbon for the border. I'm going to surprise her with this after school today, hope she likes it! :) Maria

All dressed up

I LOVE the inspiration photo for the challenge in the Shabby Tea Room this week. I wish this was my room! My husband probably wouldn't go for it though. :) I am having so much fun creating with this theme in mind. I'm working through a couple more ideas but here's the first. I love this dress image. I used a cut from Once Upon a Princess and Susan Branch paper.

Baby boy

Here's a card I made for a contest over at Picture Perfect Creations. The challenge was to use the colors red, white and blue. I immediately thought 4th of July or USA but wanted to try something different. These colors also seemed like boy colors which reminded me of this romper template from PSX designs. I will use this as a welcome baby or as a baby's first birthday card. Enjoy! :) Maria

Mommy to be

I found the cutest clear stamps in the $1 bin at Michael's a few weeks ago and I've been anxious to try them out. They worked wonderfully! This card was so much fun to put together, we watched Romy and Michele's High School Reunion while crafting yesterday. Enjoy! :) Maria

You Rock!

I'm very glad that in the midst of all the business from school I got to craft this weekend. I used the Once Upon a Princess cartridge for this card. The heart metal brad and the gem embellishments are from Michael's and I also used some Stickles. I hope to get one more project done and now I'm watching gymnastics! Hope you like it! :) Juliette

We survived the first week of school! It was so nice to sleep in today and then to craft with Juliette this morning. We had a great time playing with the Cricut. I used the Once Upon A Princess cart and a variety of papers and ribbon. I think this will make a cute birthday card for a young girl. :) Maria

Merci

Wow, I made 3 cards today! They were so much fun. I know I won't have time again til Saturday so it was nice to have a chance to craft today. I should be working on a guy birthday card for my husband's co-worker, but I love to make the girlie cards and so I did! I will put together a simple card for him next. Juliette has so much homework this week, hopefully she will have some time for crafting this weekend. I miss my stamping buddy! :) Maria

Le Chic

I started work today on a Xmas gift for my grandmother; a set of cards that she can send to family for special occasions. She's great about mailing a card for every birthday and anniversary. She loves high heeled shoes and I hope she enjoys these. I love to look at them but never could wear heels this high! :) Maria
