Fancy Flamingos

I worked on this card for most of the day yesterday. It was fun but I wish I was a little faster! Also, my Cricut is tempermental and doesn't like all cardstock equally. The flowers and leaves took the most time because the paper would rip. Oh well, it's still fun to create!!! I used the Life's a Beach cart for the flamingos and a few of the flowers and leaves. I used Forever Young for the remaining flowers and Once Upon a Princess for the Girlfriends sentiment. :) Maria

  5. Love Love Love this! Great colors and the feather's are SO Great! What a Perfect Girlfriends card! I also have some problems with my Cricket when I cut the thinner patterned papers, I can't cut the more intricate cuts. I have to cut slower, change the pressure, hold my breath and say a prayer, LOL! Maybe if you try turning your blade around a bit to find the right position, that's what I had to do. Or take the blade out and make sure there is no paper stuck up in the housing, and have a pretty sticky mat. I know it sounds silly but it may work, and also have you tried changing the blade? Hope you get it figured out, I know I've been frustrated before too and then it's no fun scrappin. Well I'm glad you played along this week over at BBTB2 even with the problems you had!

  6. Thanks for the tips! I'm not sure if my blade needs to be changed yet. I do change the settings to cut more slowly and use less pressure for certain paper. I haven't checked the blade to see if there is any paper stuck in the housing. I will try that! I also have some extra blades, maybe it's time to change it.
